Kalsubai is the highest peak in the Western Ghats mountain range located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The peak is situated at an altitude of 5,400 feet above sea level and is a popular trekking destination. Kalsubai is also known as the "Everest of Maharashtra" due to its height and popularity. The trek to Kalsubai starts from the base village of Bari and takes around 3-4 hours to reach the top. The trail is steep and rocky, passing through dense forests and grasslands. The peak offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. At the top of the peak, there is a small temple dedicated to Goddess Kalsubai, a popular pilgrimage site for devotees. The temple is situated on a small plateau and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. The best time to visit Kalsubai is during the monsoon season when the surrounding hills are covered in lush greenery and the waterfalls are at their peak.
